That is funny, since I had to check my fuses last night due to the fact that I got out of the car and couldn't lock doors using key fob and the interior light wasn't working nor was the door switch in car. I realised that the central locking had to be at fault, so started searching. Additionally I was getting a beeping from under the bonnet.

I think it's true that the interior will stop working if a fuse has gone to tell you that there is a problem, could be wrong there but hey won't be first time. <_<

I went through all the fuses as you had done and couldn't find one out. But when rechecked them a third time I found one out. It was in the engine compartment one and if I remember rightly it was the one labeled DOME. It was such a subtle blow i missed it, so all I can suggest is go through them again. Good Luck

  • 5 months later...

I had exactly the same problem with my 1999 (T) 1.8GS (interior light not working, remote central locking then not working when I took the (broken) interior bulb out whilst trying to replace it and and the beeping noise).

I checked the Dome fuse and there was a subtle blow in it. Replaced it and all's now well. :bye:

Discovered in the process that the driver's door doesn't lock with the key (lock is goosed) and that I can only lock the car via the keyfob! Not spending money repalcing it, however!

Many thanks.
