1.3 Turbo

Why has no one gone and nicked the turbo and manifold off one of those Dahatsu YRZ things and stuck it on their car. Then just need a rolling road and chip and your away.

Might even be able to use on a 1l as they are the same block just different bore and stroke (also between 1.3 toyota and 1.3 dahatsu version) but manifold would be the same. No?

Would be pretty cool and probably not that expensive if you can find one at a scrap yard. Only problem is the chip.

for a start there not the same block (1.0 and 1.3)

This have been discussed before, and from what i can remember wouldn't work. but i could be wrong

oh and yrv turbs are like rocking horse ***** + getting one that the front isnt mashed up.

I'm not going to argue about engines as can't say I know much. But I was pretty sure the 1 and 1.3 were the same juts different stroke/bore. Until the face lift when they may of put different engine in.

no. the early 1.3 and 1.5 are the same lump.

he means there very rare,

and the NEW 1.3 an all 1.0l are same block as YRV

the old 1.3 and all 1.5 are the same block not yrv type
