Ice Wired Up Finally

Finally got the interior back in the car tonight after what turned out to be a monster of a job and I'm not finished yet.

The guy who owned the car before me cut up the toyota loom, by-passed the amp and sub and used tons of metres of speaker cable for no apparent reason.

Just spent the last few nights ripping the interior out, fixing the wiring loom and making some tweeks. The end result is awesome. I thought I had a decent sound from my head unit but with a couple of amps it transforms things and is like the difference between mono and stereo. Basic set up so far is standard rear Speakers and standar sub powered by the standard amp, all now reconnected. Standard fronts replaced with 16cm alpines and reconnected tweeters powered by a seperate amp. Now need to find homes for the CD changer and DAB box. At least the cabling is all in place ready and hidden out the way.

Not managed to get the ariel working though. Had hoped it had been cut out the wiring loom in error but no such luck. Looks like a trip to the scrappy for me.

Depends on where abouts inn W Sussex you are. I'm helping Tallbloke with his tomorrow but I don't mind helping out a fellow 2 owner, even if you just needed help working out what colour wires do what.

If you really need some help, do PM me and I'll see what I can do.

I did notice today that the multi plug on the ariel had been disconnected but even plugging that in and trying various combinations wouldn't get it to erect. If time allows tomorrow when I help Tallbloke out, I might try swapping ariels to see if mine works in his car.

Who ever wants to listen to radio... bah it sucks, especially invicta FM :P

True...I just thought, I don't need the ariel to work as I listen to digital radio which uses a different ariel.......just need to find somewhere to mount it.
