The T-Sport has a totally different feel gearbox anyway(much better, more precise, as opposed to "spoon in blancmange" :-), from my experience - definitely a weak point in the smaller engined models! :crybaby:

Well my 1.3 gearshift feels totally different to the P2 1litre courtesy car I've got at the mo. Then again my previous 1.0 felt different and then felt even more different (and the best of the lot) after the linkage weight 'mod' Toyota did for me. Confusing, innit?

all yaris are different. depends how you drive it. my mate had his taris colour collection. drives it so hard you wouldnt believe. blew gearbox up after 6,000 miles. serves him right.

Whats wrong with your gearbox.

Mine has the "clunk/ scratchy" noise into reverse gear, but is fine elsewhere.

Regular oil changes will help alot.

My gearbox is lovely! It slots firmly into place with a little notch so you know it's in, the change is tight and crisp and reverse gear is easy to engage.

Why is mine like this?? Because i press the clutch pedal all the way down!!!

Yaris gearbox on the early models (99,00,01) is total crap. Toyota will not admit it, but almost every person with such model experience this issue. I'm very disappointed with this... other than the gearbox, the car is simply awesome; that damn gearbox ruins it!!!

I had the Perrin short shifter installed a coupla weeks back - gives a nice smooth short change.

Only with it is because its adjustable I HAVE to keep fiddling with it!

Anyway, we weren't talking about whether it went in but how easily it went in.
