Little B*****ds Damaged My Car!

Yaris-Nut

How shall i start? ... Well today, when i went to work a bunch of teenage scum sucking son of a :censor: .. damaged my Yaris!!

They saw me park up and leave, and then couple of minutes later decided to throw a f :censor: traffic cone at my car! I only knew about it when some guy who saw the incident came into my work place and asked whether the blue Yaris was mine. I was sooo damn shocked and upset when i was told what happened and saw the damage done.

I tried to chase them but by the time i got out they were long gone, and at that time i was sooo upset i forgot to ask the witnesses to leave a contact name and number with me as i was inspecting the damage done to my lovely car, which i had spent the whole day washing and waxing to a perfect shine! :ffs:

I ended up calling the police and leaving my details with them, but without finding the 2 witnesses i feel that there's not much i can do apart from pay for the damage myself. :(

What i want to ask is ... should i contact my insurance company and tell them about it even though i'm not planning on making a claim? And what would they do if i tell them about it? Would i affect my premiums?

The reason i dont want to claim is because i dont wont it affecting my insurance premiums as its only just started to get cheaper this year as i'm building up to 3 years ncd.

I will try and post some pictures up tomorrow .. although it doesnt look pretty with a massive dent and a 15cm scratch in the bonnet.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

what damage does your car have? shame to see your car getting damaged. I hate little scumbags, theres alot round my area and they pee me off so much i wana take a baseball bat to all of them. I know it may sound harsh but they should all die. All they do is drink from morning to night, do drugs, cause hassle.

dont tell your insurance company, theyre complete <the spuds of lurrrrvve>s, or at least mine is!

when i had my little accident, we were gona claim, but then we decided not to. We rung them up and told them that we werent claiming, but damage had been done to the car. They sent us all the forms for claiming and all that bs and said it would probs increase the premium. After about 10 phone calls they got it through their thick heads that we didnt wana claim, stupid c*nts.

Stupid duckers. I would be soooo :censor: off if that was me mate. Why do they find this stuff funny? It does my head in.

Anyway, you're prolly looking at some panel beating and a respray. Or a new bonnet if it's real bad. Won't be cheap :(

Don't tell the insurance company if your not planning a claim... and you should get protected no claims on your next policy.. it allows you to make 2 claims a year without loosing your NCB.

The little bankers...... whatever happened to nice society, when people were courteous and polite and would never dream of purposely doing that to someone elses property..... it really gets on my wick! :ffs:

The damage sounds quite bad - the little runts - I really feel for you hunny.

As for the insurance - I thought you *had* to tell them, but just tell them you dont want to claim it off them? I know what you mean about no-claims - its precious stuff and you dont want to lose it for the sake of a couple of brats....

Let us know how things go....

Shame you didn't knock the basta**s out

I couldn't have put it better myself.

I feel for you, yaris nut. I've had someone take my toyota Badge of my bonnet with a screw driver before. Scratched it no end. Some people really are scum. And i saw a youth pi5sing outside the door of a pharmacy last nite. People need their heads seeing too.

Depending on your cash and colour of your bonnet, you could try getting a replacment from a scrap yard. forgive me if that sounds bad, dont mean to. What i mean is, you mite find a car your colour thats been written off from a rear shunt. Or buy a new one.

But personally, i'd prefer to erase the memory with a fresh replacement.

Sorry to hear that. on my other car I had one little :censor: try to remove my rear wiper but he and his mates ran off when I shouted at him! Also had the bonnet Badge removed by someone late at night. Had it keyed slightly too.

I wouldn't bother the insurance people if not making a claim from them. It's your no claims bonus you're protecting but no need to give them ideas.

Petrified that someone will damage my new car now but, as a teacher who has seen the damage some kids do to their own school, I shouldn't be surprised.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Sorry to hear that yaris-nut. if i was u then i wouldnt bother telling the insurance if u r trying to build up ur NCB.

Last week, my car got keyed as well by those lillte :censor: nearly the whole tailgate got keyed, if i get it fixed, i'm expecting to pay around £135-£140, the cctv in the school just missed where i park, so i cant do nthing abt that. I was so upset after they've done that, doesnt that just ***** u off when u've put in so much effort and time onto a car and these little :censor: screw it up, if i know who keyed my car, i'm gonna break their legs

I've managed to get some pictures up now. So here it is half an hour before it happened when i've just washed and polished it with this new synthetic wax which i'd invested in. You can see how shiny it looks with the reflection of the house on the side even in dull weather. Pictures were taken as i wanted to post them up later to bragg about how shiiny my car was ... :(

And here is the damage done 30 minutes later when i went to work (pics taken today).

You can see how dented it looks especially in the 2nd picture with the reflection of me suddenly being cut off. Also i've managed to remove most of the lighter surface scratches last night .. but i'm still left with some deep ones that has gone into the paint.

Shame you didn't knock the basta**s out

I really really wanted to at the time! I nearly lost it and wanted to beat the living cr*p out of them, but they were all under 16 and if i did i probably would have got done for it even though they were the ones who caused the damage in the first place. Just one of the messed up laws we have in this country!

what part of birmingham was it?

It was near the Hall Green area of Birmingham. Before, it wasnt too bad because i could park on the private parking in front of the premises where my car was in view. But now, the stupid stupid council has decided to put metal posts up to stop people from parking there as apparently a few old people complained about too many cars driving on to the pathway. But now its just !Removed! stupid cos u have a pavement bigger than the road itself with all the owners having to displace their cars further down the street and out of their view!

Some people really are scum. And i saw a youth pi5sing outside the door of a pharmacy last nite.

Yes! .. They really are scum! I see them all the time drinking and smoking weed down the alley way all the time .. but didnt really take no notice of them since they didnt cause no trouble for me. But this really has pi***d me off big time!

I was so upset after they've done that, doesnt that just ***** u off when u've put in so much effort and time onto a car and these little :censor: screw it up, if i know who keyed my car, i'm gonna break their legs

Sorry to hear u got your car keyed last week ... but thats exactly it! I genuinely feel so upset about it when i've put in so much effort into something i love ... its just sooo depressing. :(

Oh well .. thanks for your replies and advice everyone. I know most of you have told me not to tell the insurance company about it, but because i've called the police about the damage done, would the insurance company find out and would it be a problem?

I mean telling my insurance company is not a problem, but i'm afraid if in the future i had an accident that they will use the excuse of not using their own approved garages to fix the bonnet as an excuse to get out of payment etc.

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks for the help everyone ... i will try and get it sorted soon.

That really looks bad, sorry mate. Still I'm sure a body shop can sort it for you. I'm no expert on insurance but I can't see they'd have a problem with who you use seeing as they won't be paying for it. There are some insurance people on here. They'll probably be able to sort you out. Chin up, eh?

Really sorry to hear about this... i hate the scum we have in this country.... and it's only recently that this has come pretty bad... all this anti-social behaviour crap.... they all need their backsides tanning.

All our crappy laws and EU human rights crap.... if i caught somebody doing that to my car, i beat the living crap out of them.... it's the same if a burglar was in my house... if they are in my house, or they cause damage to something that isn't theirs then they havn't got a single right in this world as far as i care...

I knew what was right and wrong and what to respect when i was about 4yrs old.... these twits are nearly at least 14 and they think it's 'cool' and 'hard' of them to do it. Being a vicarage, we have a graveyard over my back wall... all the local scallys come here and frequently venture into my back garden... and i fequently throw them out... it's funny because if there's 4 or less... they just call some names and run... but anymore and the same people think they're invincible by throwing stuff at me.... they play off their mates and they feel the tough man for being a tw*t infornt of them.

They all want making to do labour tasks... clean the streets, empty bins... embaress them... it's best thing that will work. It's the damned labour government paying benefit to any sod that wants it... whether they need it or deserve it or not!

ARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

Hope it all gets sorted fella....

Well .. i've just had it looked at by my local body shop. And they said they cant beat it out properly because the dent is just behind the frame and if they did do it that it would look cr*p. Also even if they managed to do it, the filler they'd need to put in will probably crack in a few years due to the heat from the engine and the problem will still exist.

So he they reckon the best way is to get a new bonnet, paint and fit it. Thats about £280 quid the little retards have costed me now! And to think i could have used that money to get some new suspension or alloys!

Not happy.

That sucks ...........It's a dman unjust world we live in where we can't have our possessions untouched if we leave them like this. Scum are everywhere.

How about getting a nice carbon bonet if you replace it?

If you get a new bonnet remember to take off the Toyota Badge and get the bodyshop to fill in the 2 wee holes and then spray it! Shouldn't cost you anymore and you've have a de-badged front end! :D

If I ever seen anyone even touch my car I'd go absolutely mental!

Guys .. as much as i like the carbon bonnets i just dont have that kind of money right now. Also .. when it comes to the point of selling the car, i dont want the sale to be limited to people who likes carbon bonnets on cars. You know what i mean?

But cheers for the suggestions though ... carbon bonnets do look absolutely lovely .. but its 600+ quid i havent got at the mo and i need to sort this hideous dent out asap!

I agree. Get an ordinary bonnet painted up and fitted and you can begin to forget about the whole sorry mess. Hope it doesn't take long.

Get a quote done, see what the prices are like and go from there..you are meant to disclose any accident your involved in (your car) but if its cheap enough then I wouldnt bother and yes I do work in motor insurance lol :D
