New Avensis Fuses

I managed to fuse the cigarette lighter with a faulty phone charger.

By a process of elimination by using the useless handbook, I think the fuse is a 15A and located behind the glovebox.

How do you get access to it. Do you have to remove the glovebox??

Thank.

Its a 2003 new model. There are fuses all over the place. Why cant they have them all together.

Not been my day. Just been through the carwash at Tescos which washed it without water. Seems that if too many cars go through, it runs out of water.Feel like a claim coming on.

The fuse you are looking for is in the drivers foot well right above the pedals. It is a pain to get at but I also blew the cigerette ligther and managed to change it.

You're absolutely right. Mine is LHD so mine is above the pedals but yours is still in the left foot well so it is behind the glove compartment according to my manual.

Looks like you should remove the glovebox in order to access the fuse panel. The panel has two column of fuses and the Cigarette lighter is fuse number 40 which is in the left column starting with fuse no 32 at the top of the column.

Hope this helps

Oh sod it ,I have just thought that I can use the power outlet on the back of the armrest for now, d'oh. The fuse can wait until the next service.
