Mk 3 Clutch

Hi, I`m having problems with my clutch on an 87 N/A.

Its either a slipped cable or a leak, if it`s a hydraulic system.

What`s happening is that my pedal has become slack untill the final 10% of travel at which point it regains normal tension and does operate the clutch (ie I can change gear).

The biting point is now extremely low.

I just need to know if it`s a cable or hydraulic clutch.

Its Hydraulic

The resevoir is the small one next to the brake resevoir attatched to the bulkhead, might jus be a case of bleeding it!

It'll be leaking.. its a common fault. If you poke your head under your dash above the pedals you should see a lot of fluid around the clutch pedal rod. A new kit is about £30 and a right bi*ch to fit.
