what they should cost?

I replaced the front ones (just the rubbers) at toyota dealer and they charged me 25 Euros. :(

The back one i cannot replace apparently, since it comes as a whole part so I have to replace the entire wiper. Dont even ask me what they charge for that.

So what wipers cost normally and am i being overcharged?

Pardon me, but that is just <if my vocabulary was any smaller, it would be nearly as small as my genitals>!!! :censor: Toyota sell just the rubber strip and you take out the metal inserts, remove rubber, then refit, with new rubber. Cost around £4 of your earth pounds! I know this FIRST HAND as I have done it twice.

The best front wipers are from PIAA. (that is the name, not initials, apparently). They cost more than Bosch, but coat the screen with a fine sillicone compound that acts like rain-ex so you use 'em less! I have them on now and they seem brill. I was told they last ages too so may be better value in the end!!

Got 'em from Burtons engineering, in East London/Essex. They mainly do Fords stuff but wipers fit by length so fit Toyota or whatever. :yahoo:

Doesn’t matter when the thread was started IMO.

Someone has correctly used the ‘Search’ function and added to a post that is valid. If you put in ‘Wipers’ in the Search function you will a dozen threads on all the same subject (I did this yesterday) and added to an old post.

If you start a new thread then you will get a dozen or so members jumping down your throat! Dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t ;)

But it is still relevant and worthwhile

As I said, (back in April........before I was a moderator ;) )...This thread will remain relevant....................and will remain so whilst cars use Wiper Blades  ;)

They don't make a blind bit of difference - Especially the back ones!

Purely aesthetic!

Made a difference to my car. I used to get loads of stones flying up against the side and fitted and now only get the odd one but I do live where your cars just get covered in dirty and lots of stones.

Admit they could do with being a bit bigger but where do you stop rally flaps?

my car came with mudflaps from the factory, i removed them and the car was getting so much mud and dung and stone chips i put them back on after a few weeks. they really help to keep the car clean, with them off you will get lots of mud and thick dirt on the car but with them on you mostly just get the kind of dirt where water has sprayed up onto the car and evaporated off if you know what i mean. they make a real difference anyway.

Please try to keep this thread on topic.................It is about Wiper Blades............NOT Mud Flaps
