Handbrake Cable Snapped!

Dunno how big a job it is on a '2 but if you can get the floor protector off you should be able to see the cables.

Is it a big job then coz there is all sorts of shielding under the car.

Not at all, get the car up in the air (securely) if I remeber rightly you do have to take off two of the plastic trays. It's straight forward from there, I had to replace both as soon as I replaced one & pulled the brake hard on the other snapped!!!!!

easy job, just take off the plastic covers and everythings there in front of you. would be best if u could get it on a ramp though for access

mine`s just snapped to, local garage quoted £15 for cable and an hours fitting, £50-60 total.

And get them to use a LOT of lube .. saved then freezing in winter ..

Yeah Jimlad, my car is falling to bits!

Even now I keep forgetting that the cable has snapped and I pull the handbrake up!!!... feel dead silly when I do it infront of my girlfriend :P
