Hi,

Has anyone fitted a DAB boot box in a Rav4?

The standard fitted radio is a little "20th Century" with no DAB and no MP3 CD player. I see that there are a number of "hideaway" DAB tuners available (

JVC KT-DB1000, Pioneer GEX-P700DAB, Clarion DAH923 & Kenwood KTC-9090DAB) and was wondering if anyone knew about compatability, fitting etc.

Well, i've just bought an old shape Rav 4 VX and will be fitting my DAB radio in it soon. it's currently in my volkswagen passat (urgh!).

It's a blaupunkt DAB52 stereo, which is the type with it all in. It will play mp3's both off cdr and MMC card. I also have the iPod connection kit too, so it treats the iPod as a disk changer.

Anything you wanna know, just ask!!

Will have to have a look at them!

Considering DAB was an original concept for car stereo's in the first place, not a lot of car makers are putting them in as standard

Yeah, it ain't bad at all!

I like having more stations, and the fact that you don't have to 'tune' them in. Just select with the up and down arrows!
