Hi,

new member, just about to buy a 1995 Mr2 G-limited auto import, before I pay with my hard earned cash does anyone have any pearls of wisdom

try not to ruin my enthusiasm to much

There are quite a few posts with all the info you'll need mate.

Just have a look down the pages for similar titles.

Just make sure you inspect the car like you would any other.

Imports are usualy good (as in not rusty) but give it a good look around under the arches etc

Look at the seats (leather i guess) and make sure the wear matches the millage of the car. If it says 20K Miles, and the seat is worn to s**t then be weary ! (normally wear on outside bolster from gettin in and out of car)

Take it for a run, make sure she pulls well, and smooth.

Check engine temp stays at or below the middle.

and just use common sence !

Thanks again, I've paid a small deposit and will pick it up next tue, the garage is putting it through a MOT, and fixing a few minor niggles, fingers crossed

Sounds like a good buy mate. I'm sure that your car will be spot on mate. Imports are always in good nick as they dont really abuse there motors over there. And they always have a high spec on the cars as well. Once you get it mate post a few pictures up mate so we can all have a look mate ;)

No problem mate ;) Once you've got it home buddy just take a few pictures of your pride and joy and stick them up on the site so we can all see. Also would be nice to see some pictures of the dvd / tv screen :thumbsup: I've got a original book of the mr2 with all the original accessories in it and would be interested if it's the same screen which is in the book.
