Can sombody if you can install an amplifier for the SONY WX-C570R Car Stereo. I want to connect my sub in the boot to the stereo but unsure on what extra parts I might need.

Thanks

Oh and not sure if this helps.. as I think Sony have brought out various version of the WX-C570R stero. It has 4x35watt output.

you should be able to if it has the 2 (or 4) rca sockets on the back of the stereo. should be red for right channel and a white one for left.

some cheaper amps can connect to your speaker wires but don't expect the quality to be good as you will be amplifying an amplified signal.

All the stuff you would need is:

Stereo with RCA outputs

Amp

Decent Amp wire to connect between headunit and amp

remote wire to switch amp on (single thin wire that runs from hedunit to amp)

Power cable to run from the Battery to the amp

decent speaker cable to connect the Speakers to the amp

Thanks!!

I'm only going to connect the sub to the amp so the wiring's not much of a problem.

As for the power to the Battery that's been a sod to doo before but am sure I'll get through it.

I will pull the stereo out and havea look for the RCA's.

How about the amp standby remote wire??

Nearly every headunit I have seen has a remote wire as they are used for making an electric ariel go up as well. If you have an electric ariel that goes up and down when the stereo is turned on/off then just connect it to the same wire which goes to the ariel. (normally a thin blue wire)

yeah running a cable to the Battery may be a bugger!

I haven't fitted the amp yet.. but took the Sony head unit out on Sunday to have a look at the connections on the back.

I couldn't seem to find a RCA connection as such.. it looks as if it's blanked off but the unit does have 2 Line out connections on the back (2x Red & 2x White).
