New Turbo - Stage2 Fensport Or Turbotechnics?

Hi there!

I posted a question a few days ago in which I am loosing boost in 1st and 2nd, little in 3rd but holds in 4th and 5th. When I keep the foot on the floor in 2nd or 3rd after about 4500K revs, the boost goes completely infact the guage goes into negative????

Checked the pipes etc etc - no leaks... Phoned Fensport who tell me it could be the "actuator" also the performance garage I use say the same....

Both Fensport and the-garage tell me if I am going to replace the actuator, may as well replace the turbo at same time.

Therefore going for a stage2 CT26 from fensport, but waiting to hear back from turbo technics -

Anyone have experience of the stage2, is it a massive amount better than the stage1??? - I was running my old turbo at 1.2 bar, so I am confused on how these stage1 and 2 turbos are any different? - what am I expecting from them, massive amount of power increase less turbo lag etc etc.

Any help on this is very appreciated!!!!

Hi Buckie

I have just got a stg 1 ct26 from Turbo technics, they told me its ratted upto about 380 hp, I also enquired about the stg2, but was asked about my engine mods and told that there was no point as my stock injectors / pistons / cons rods would not be able to match it, so it would be a waste of time and money.

stg 2 is ratted to over 500hp (TT said)

id give them a ring and ask personnaly mate, they are very good.

I have just got my stg1, and its going on tomorrow !

also, replacing an actuator is like max £100 for a fully adjustable, so the comment, you MAY AS WELL replace the turbo seams abit extreme as turbos are £100's of pounds !

Yeah, they are totaly different to the hp figures given on fensports web site, but they do a stock, stg1, 2, 3 turbo (ct26)

Turbo technics only do a stock ,stg 1, 2

so stg 2 (TT) must be a stg 3 from fensport ? ;)
