read on another post recently that it can be done? the camry uses a 2.2 v6 engine which would be an exelent upgrade i think

anyone got any details of the conversion?

I know this can be done, and especially if you turbo it, it would be an AWESOME upgrade ..

Only problem is its UBER hard to find a manual one in the UK.

yeah thats what i thought, all the ones on flee bay are autos.

wondering if there is any other car that uses the camry engine?

a lot of those conversions have been done here across the ocean. for example brad bedell's mr2. has a camry motor and a trd supercharger i think. there was once a write up on how to swap it in one magazine.

it's a 3.0 v6 . . and yeah it fits, but the UK only got Auto's :(

I always thought the 2.2 camry used the 5S-FE engine.
