I was speaking with someone on Sunday about the most popular questions in the Yaris forum you know, the ones that are asked about every fortnight...

Here's my shortlist - what are the definitive answers?

1. Can I fit an aftermarket headunit?

2. How do I fit said aftermarket unit?

3. And what about a CD-changer?

3. What are the biggest wheels I can fit to my Yaris?

4. And how much can I lower the car by once I've fitted them?

5. How do I debadge?

6. My Yaris is French - does that make it crap?

Ok, well here are my definitive answers to the ones I claim to know!

6. No - Frogs are good, because I have one!

7. 1.3 is better, because I have one!

9. P2 is better, because I have one!

10. Yaris is faster, because...... I think you get the point I'm trying to make here??

17's with minimal work, 18's WILL go with work

40mm without too many probs

5. How do I debadge?

Fishing wire, a rag and a bit of white spirit, bonnet has holes that need filling

6. My Yaris is French - does that make it crap?

No but Jap versions are more refined

7. Which is better, 1.0 or 1.3?

1.3, 1.0 is a bit lethargic but very good to the gallon

8. What air filter should I buy?

A K&N panel filter is more than ample unless your going for lots of power then a full induction system is best

9. Current or new Mk2, which do you prefer?

Mk1, the big chrome garish headlights are foul on the phase 2

Yeah, I know it was you Ryan, but I wrote the post and thought "that maybe sounds a bit narky, I probably shouldn't drag Ryan into it"...
