There you go... a minifortune spent on cars :)

Running at 1.4 bar of boost. What do I expect ? A good guess from my mechanic is around 330 bhp and plenty of torque. What do you say?

Posted

Good luck and how much is that going to cost you? Where you getting it done?

Posted

ive already made arrangements with my mechanic (John motis) if you know him. A good guess is around 2,000 on labour , and another 2 on parts.

Posted

Can't say I've heard of him! Big plans there. But I think you're forgetting brake conversion and your suspension etc

Posted

your having a laugh! youve got way way more than 2k in parts on that list. the rods pistons and cams will cost you that alone...

Posted

i think he meant labour.

why exactly do you need an oil cooler? do you think the engine is going to get that hot its going to fry the oil?

Posted

It is a sensible precaution to have an oil cooler. All high performance engines have them.

I don't know if anyones done it, but theres always a first time, and that is to dry sump the engine.

Posted

your engine lives on oil. Its like blood with a human being. No blood , engine (heart) fails. Same principle yah .

Your right it will be costing me more. but pulling a few strings gets me wonderful discounts. :)

Think ill reach 300 ? :(

Posted

if tuned properly you could get 300 i recon.

Posted

i got the top guy tuning the powerFC.

Ive already started putting stuff on. I want to ensure the reliability though therefore the last thing thats going to be touched is the boost and i dont want to over do it.

What do you guys think about adding sleeves to the block?

Posted

only really need those if you're boring it out, if you just wanna strengthen the block though its a safe bet
