hi, iv just found out my car has a switch under dash to make a fan come on at the intercooler. what is it for, and when should put it on, as my engine temp always seems to say the same on temp guage.

Your engine temp is pretty independent of your charge temps.

Just because your water temp isn't rising, I can assure you your charge temps are.

The fan is normally run from a sensor under the engine lid. A popular mod is to simply disconnect this, which keeps the IC fan on permanently. I have done this.
