Bonnet vents if done neatly would look very nice.

One does wonder though what happens when it rans?

...water on electrics + plus mess on any 'polished' parts would be an inconveniance!

your slang is confusing to me... chav?

a chav is a burberry wearing fool who thinks max power is the dogs <the spuds of lurrrrvve>s!

ahh, i see....

slang can get you in trouble... i was watching an aussie cop drama the other night and a guy who was about to be thrown in prison said "i could use a !Removed!"

you hear "!Removed!" and think "cigarette"

we hear "!Removed!" and think "homosexual male"

i just about lost it laughing when i heard him say that.

lol, well it sort of means that here as well, but its more common to call a cig a !Removed!

As for bonnet vents on AE82s, i've not seen many with them done, but the ones i have seen have always looked a bit "stuck on" - i think the problem is the raised section on the bonnet, as it's positioned to one side. having said that, i think cosworth or rs turbo style vents could look good on either side

I have my bonnet scoop directly above my filter on my e10. (see garage for pics)

The filter is just back from the hole in the bonnet allowing any water to drop in front of the filter and away from any electrics.

Works very well in all conditions be it cold or hot and is not over sized like a GT4 or scooby vent and being smoothed in and looks part of the bonnet, not bad considering the vent cost me £4.99 from Demon Tweeks lol!

Kev :)

I got mine off of a metro... LOL

Its the right size and placed just far enough in front of the filter to flow the air into the filter rather than placig it 'over' the filter and flowing the air past it.

dont bother with scooby vents, they act like an air brake on anything other than a scooby due to the position of the intake and the ducting.

rain etc probably goes with the airflow, in my case right onto the filter, but its a K&N washable and i oil it correctly and clean it regularly so it doesnt penetrate (oooer missus)
