Toyota Masterace Lossing Power And Backfiring

can anyone help me here..

i have a toyota Master ace 1989 with a 3Y Gasoline EFI.

we bought it used but ever sinced we got it. it's trottles ruff theres a loss of power and back fires sometimes.

In the morning when i start it...it will work ok. but after it heats up there is an intermittent loss of power... so i have to pull it in Low gear for it to pick back up. it idles really ruff with that..also. and sometimes if i keep it in drive...and sink the gas pedal it will sound like its dieing out and backfires. Oh....and it burnes alot also of gas...!!

what can be the cause of this....?

hey also theres a valve connected to the Injectors that carries a screw what should the adjustment be like?
