What's holding the air filter up? Doesn't it wave around like that..?

You can safely lose the odd shaped 'thing' attached to the induction hose, as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything - unless you know different.

The hole it's plugging is handy for the air temp. sensor to go into, if your engine is similar to mine which it appears to be.

if you unplug that from the air hose then nothing is feeding the breather hole for you engine...aka any ***** goes in,if your removing it (which is pointless) you would need to add a breather filter of sumkind

i think :S sure sum1 will say for definate

i *think* it equalises the air pressure in the head. if you don't then the engine will start sucking in oil. could be for the servo assist on the brakes - but i have never checked to see where this is. its usually on the the engine side of the throttle valve hence unlikely to be this.

nothing is holding it up, the piping is pretty strong it doesn't move around hardly at all, as for the air temp sensor i just mounted it behind the filter. runs fine just the same, most likely better thanks to the apexi, so far so good.

I think the plast thing attached to the intake pipe is a resonator chamber to silence intake noise.

I took mine off and sealed the hole by inserting a mineral water bottle cap which i then clamped with a jubilee clip.

I cut a hole in the bottle cap for the air temp sensor and sealed it in, it seemed to do the job very well.

Jus thgt id let u guyshow i went bout it
