Hello and happy Easter to all.

I was messing about in the boot of the Yaris today, when I shut the boot I noticed my VVTI Badge. :D

It has discoloured a little, it’s going a light brown, rust?

Has this happened to any one else?

Is there any way to stop this? also to prevent this happing on the other badges?

rust? its made of plastic dude.any polish should bring it up mint again

I wasn't absolutely sure what they were made of, that’s why I question marked "rust"

Thanks for the reply I will scrub that right up tomorrow, as I’m cleaning and washing the car.

Don't scrub it too hard.....the chrome effect is quite thin.

I would suggest using a soft toothbrush to get in the "Crooks & Nannies"

Ooh a tooth-brush :) I was wondering how to clean all those bits around the badges properly when I cleaned the Blue recently..will also have to pick up a very soft toothbrush too then.

Toothbrushes are also very good for cleaning alloys too!

A steam cleaner works very well at cleaning the badges, but be carefull not to use it for prolonged amounts of time as steam is very hot and paintwork doesn't like it! Just a quick blast, then put some un-diluted car shampoo behind the Badge... scrub with your tooth brush, steam blast again, rinse off and buff to a shine! Marvellous!

It does look like I will need to change it. it's not cleaning up.
