Not too bad really, expect 22mpg average, servicing is about the same as my Vauxhalls. The only problem is if something goes wrong then the time to dismantle things like the engine is way more than a normal car.

Quite a few of the club members use their cars every day to and from work, its a Toyota so it just keeps going.

They are also pretty easy to tune, £3ks worth of mods will give you a very very quick car. My old Supra had a decat pipe, blitz exhaust, blitz BOV and HKS intercooler and ran a 12.9sec 1/4 mile at Santa Pod. Thats basically the same time that a Lambo Diablo would do.

It also handles pretty well for such a heavy car.

If I pull my finger out and organise it properly then I expect about 70 to 80 Supras to be there. Its basically our big event for the year but mostly we all go on the Sunday with just a few cars there on the Saturday.

So guys I've been reading your messages and must say u do know about your cars.

Well can anyone help me. i used to have a jap Supra TT a year ago , but my wife forgot to take the pill so I'm stuck with a Saab 95 at the moment.

I'm going to view a UK spec SUPRA TT on friday. Its on a P reg and it's white in colour with all standard stuff , nothing flashy , but it has done 40000 miles only. Its up for sale for £12000 , do u think its worth it ??

Hello boys,

sounds like the supra toys are all the rage at the moment, i have the for-runner for all the cars you guys are playing with, the original 1985 celica supra 2.8i. its in its full original off the line spec with no mods at all apart from the usual cosmetic stuff that has to be done on a car that age.

if you fancy a look it will be on the TOC stand at castle combe, you cant miss it. it will be the only one there,

am trying to find out from DVLA how many are still running in their original form in the uk at the moment

 cant imagine there are that many.

any ideas

Hate to pop your bubble qus but there is more than a handful of them at most of the major jap shows. There is a guy in the south who specialises in them and there are some VERY nice examples at events like Billing and !Removed!. The 'forerunner' was the model before yours (the mk1, although it was never called the mark1 or supra as it was still a celica) and had a 2.0 in it.

Besides which i had a mk2 in 1990 so i beat you to it.. :)

Great cars though.. id love another one and will certainly be looking round yours at any shows.. They feel quicker even though theyre not (yet they're still rapid cars for their time), and are fantastic fun to drive.

:D no worries mate takes a lot more than that to burst my bubble, it wasjust that i hadnt seen any around for a long time, and mines been off the road for so long i had forgoten what it looked like. it got to the point were it was either spend some serious money on her or scrap it.

so when it just sat there with those little pop up puppie eye headlights, i just hadn't got the heart to send her to the knacker's yard.

so out came the cheque book,

would hope to see a few more at castle combe in two weeks time then and maybe have a look at doing a few mods to mine. biggest bug at the moment is getting some decent covers for the seats because at nearly 20 years old they are starting to look a little shabby.

you never know might find somedoby who a dab hand with a sewing machine, hint hint to anybody who might be reading this.

:)
