Hi guys

New to the forum but am a member of the LOC so we are like cousins or something I think ;)

Anyway

Been looking at a '51 plate Blue Celica but its badged as a 190bhp model

The car is perfect in every way (immaculate etc..) and I bought my IS200 from them 2 years ago so their rep is good, but the seller doesnt know if its a 190 or 140 (I think) model and is offering to sell it as a 140 Bhp after lengthy negotiations with me.

But my question is how would I be able to tell what model it is and if I am really getting a bargain??

Also would my 17" IS 200 alloys (standard SE alloys) fit the celica ok?

many thanks in advance

the RAC website has a licence check, that might tell you, all you have to do is register, and you can get a free check of the model number...

Also, no, I think the Gen 7 celica is 4-stud wheels, not 5...

the celica 190 should have vvtli on head unit also will have 9000 on rev counter opposed to 7000 on the 140 take for a spin and at 6000 revs will feel the lift

the alloys will fit if there are 5 stud

Hey Fidgets !! Hi Robo Thanks for the info !!

Its Dunkie here from the LOC :D nice to see a familliar face over here!!

Anyways just done the RAC search (using the insurance quoter!!)

Comes back as :

Make TOYOTA

Model Celica Vvt-i 190

Capacity 1796

Immobiliser FACT

Kept overnight R

Which kinda seals the deal for me then :D

Oh its a five stud fitting and I have seen another celica with standard lexus 17's on it so I think it will be ok, hopefully without spacers
