Dings

Are any of your Avensis owners suffering from dings and dents? I notice the Avensis has no side protection strips and those doors look pretty vulnerable to shopping trolleys and neglectful parkers.

Don't worry about protection strips. All it takes is for someone to park a big 4x4 next to you and open the door on your car. The door will miss the strips and dint your car.

Unfortunately there are plenty of people out there who don't care enough about other peoples property to excercise a bit of thought.

Fortunately paintless dent removal is very good and quite reasonably priced............sad but true !

Doesn't even have to be a 4x4 .. side strips aren't helping at all anyways, as the cars aren't shaped like boxes anymore :D

Yes got a nice little ding in the front passenger door about half way down thanks to some careless idiot in a car park.

In this instance the protection strip may have done it's job but I will never know. :(

:D Had my T25 for almost a year now but sofar no dings, touch wood. Very nervous everytime I park at the supermarket.

I have frequently been seen walking around my car checking for for dents on the door skins.

 What is your strategy? Given the choice, do you park next to an old rusty escort or do you park besides that brand new Audi A6?

I don't park where the space is only just enough - if I can't get out with ease, others probably can't get in with ease either

I also check the car when coming out - today I actually took a photo (camera in cellular) of the plate of the car parked on my left, because it looked like it had an owner that wouldn't mind if he/she hit me

The other one was a new car, wasn't worried :)

 Yeah but even if the the car you park next to is new it does not mean it comes with a respectfull driver. The car may be a company car and the driver gets a new car very third year so he do not care about his car or others.

:yes: Yes thats the problem we have mainly these days some 'Big Head' in his company car ('chinless' wounder with Mobil phone permanently on his ear).

If it's a nearly new Audi A6, BMW Saloon, Vauxhall Vectra or VW Passat then you know it's an a**hole
