Handbrake Cable

ayup,

if i can get my car over a pit, and my mates pretty usefull with the spanners, should ge be able to replace the handbrake cable easily enough?, he says he`s done them on lots of other cars?

is the mr2 any different? will it be a lot harder?

Last time I did ours it took about 20 min's no pit or ramp :thumbsup:

It's an easy job. hardest bit is taking the plastic covers down.

The handbrake cable itself comes in 3 pieces. the section from the handbrake lever itself to a sort of Y piece, then 2 sections from the Y piece. 1 either side to each rear wheel. Which side are you changing? I have a right hand side cable here if you want it. No good to me now, I've sold my car.

hi urotsukidoji_badassdemon, Dont suppose you still got that handbrake cable do you? I'd be interested if you do, mines binding up at the moment. Restoring the car and it cant go on the road until I've sorted it out.
