What/where Are These?

Hi, could anybody please tell me what the two reservoirs are for (marked on the pic) ?

One I am guessing is for brake fluid, and the other ..????? The larger one is right on the min mark so i'm thinking a top-up wouldn't hurt.

Also, where's the oil and fuel filter, can't see them anywhere!!!?

Cheers

As far as i can see the red arrow is the brake fluid and the white one is the clutch fluid, the fuel filter is behind the air box and down a bit , for the oil filter look down under the alternator (not directly).

Thanks Kev,

I was probably looking for 10 minutes trying to find that oil filter! :ffs:

Wanted to check to see if they had put a toyota one on as I've read they have some kind of special valve on them.

BTW, does brake fluid expand with a warm engine? Should I fill to at least in between the two lines or will it be ok at the min level (when cold)?

Check how much friction material is left on your brake pads. As the pads wear the piston in the caliper moves out to maintain a minimal gap between the pads and disk. In the doing this the brake fluid will drop over time. Low brake fluid *could* mean that your pads will need changing soon. ;)

I know Weyhill quite well. Is St Benedicts the one near the crossroads, on the road to Clanville? I remember when that was a C of E primary school, many years ago......

There's quite a few army places around here as we're right on the edge of Salisbury plain. I guess you're thinking of Tidworth though as that's where most of the soliders are based.

Yep that the very school fantastic huge place with the riding school on the other side.

Tidworth is the other place I used to live. Wow the memories, I keep meaning to come back and check out the place, but its such a long drive, did you go to school in Andover?

I've lived near Andover pretty much most of my life. I went to primary school in a village called Abbotts Ann and then moved onto the John Hanson secondary school when I was older.

John Hanson has gone now, or least the school I knew as John Hanson. A new school was built on the Floral Way estate and has been open for about the last 5 years - still called John Hanson though. The old site has been demolished and houses are being built there.

Funnily enough I don't work in Andover though. I work in Basingstoke for a large pharmaceutical company. Companies in Basingstoke seem to pay better than those in Andover and it's only about a 20-25 minute drive away down the A303 ;)
