Finally I got the reverse lights fixed tonight which is a releif. Turned out it was the switch in the end, or should I say the connector pins (or lack of) in the plug bit.

To say the switch is a MF er to take off is an understatement. Trying to bend a 27mm deep socket round a coolant pipe and wiring loom is fun in itself. Climbing on top of the engine to get some leverage is even more fun and I'm sure raised a few eyebrows fro my neighbours.

Still, with the car fixed, I drove down the petrol station with a smile and felt even better filling the car up having managed 400 miles to the tank. Then some guy came up and asked if I wanted to sell it....guess I should take it as a compliment, thats the 5th person now who has asked if it's for sale.
