They don't have carbon canistors, it's most likely the rear engine mount as they do wear over time, remember there are rubber bushes in the mounts which degrade over the years. Dealer only part & not easy to do as you have to support the engine & drop it off the subframe but well worth it though if he's had it that long they are a superb car.

quickest fix is to tighten all the mounting bolts on the engine side. Get some rubber bushes from a breakers. A good eyeball on them should be ok as long as they are not cracked. Check for hairlines thoroughly. Also look at the subframe to ensure it's not loose.
