Toyota Hiace Fuel Tank Plug

MAD KAMIKAZE COBRA

Hi!

My dad owns a 1 year old Toyota Hiace (53 reg) and we recently had a problem with draining the fuel.

After a long, hard day at work, my dad was coming home and decided to put some diesel in the van. He had put about 50 litres in when he realised that what he was actually putting into the tank was petrol!!! Obviously u cant drive a diesel engine on petrol so he got the van towed to our home.

We decided to try and drain the petrol out of the tank ourselves, put we just couldnt find the Fuel Tank Drainage Plug. We looked for ages but still couldnt find it. Finally i thought there mustnt be one on this model, but my dad was determined that there is!

Can anyone help? We're getting the vehicle serviced on Tuesday and the garage said that they can get rid of the petrol, but we'll have to get it towed there. If anyone can tell me exactly where the drainage plug is, it'd save us some money on hiring a tow truck to take the van to the garage.

Also im worried that the petrol might get into the injection system and screw it up. My dad says that its ok cos there will still be some diesel in the system but im not so sure. I'd really appreciate some help on this matter!

Thanks in advance for any help.
