cant see any point in getting a paddle clutch m8 , unless your thinking about putting a turbo or super charger on it , a blueprint clutch will do the job just fine or another toyota clutch.

Yeah was thinking of just getting a standard one back in, but my mates seem to think paddle clutches work out cheaper. its booked in for tuesday so we'll see.

£500 sounds round about right for a Toyota Dealership , £300 is more like it for a local garage, i think cookci payed £230 to get his fitted at mr clutch (he supplied the clutch) , im not sure where you are m8 but if your near Nottingham Ian smith at Toyauto center is the man to see about it

Mr Clutch quoted me about 400-500 thats where i'm gonna get it done. if the clutch is £95 how can they charge 300-400 labour? just gonna get it done soon as, can't wait to drive it ive just upgraded from a 1.4 megane ill post some pictures when i can.

Thanks alot for the help.

sounds like there don't know what there talking about m8 , that's gt4 clutch money and even at that it far to much, for the gt it just as easy as any other front wheel driver car , they might be getting confused thinking yours is a gt4 as that needs the engine out to do the clutch but as i said even for that there charging way to much , have you phoned your local MR T ???

Shutty over at celica-club.co.uk works for Toyota , here's a thread about the work that those guys do at his dealership

Might be worth giving him a pm m8

lol thats funny , i was quoted £200 if i supply the clutch at mr.clutch ( gateshead )

a gt4 clutch can be done without removing the engine , thats just the way they like to do it , so they can charge us stupid money.

I've been quoted 199 from Mr Clutch in Lewisham and that's including the clutch!

I'm going to get this done in the next week or two.

I've heard though that they use re-conditioned clutches which I'm not sure about. Anyone know for sure?

Iv heard that as well , if you get the clutch from them you get a 20k miles warranty though so that peace of mind for a couple of years if you take it in to get checked at different periods , if your keeping the car i would think about getting a luk or blueprint clutch m8
