Went out to my car this morning to check the oil level. In the engine bay I noticed a bit of smoke and a strange smell. One of the wires seemed to have smoke coming from part of it. It looks like the wire is connected to the driver's door (which was open at the time). It runs down to a round disc behind the driver's seat. I noticed when I closed the door the smoke seemed to stop. I've had trouble with the courtesy lights not working before, wondering if it's related. Anyone know what the problem could be? I'm thinking it needs checking out by an electrician asap

could be wrong kind of bulb fitted thats taking more power than what the wire is rated for, take it to an auto electricians quickly before the wires set alight. the longer you leave it the more wire thatll have to be replaced and the more itll cost you.
