:help:

Recently, the alarm keyfob decided no longer to open / close the Paseo. Obviously i can get into the car and start the engine via the key as the alarm and immobiliser are two seperate units.

I have tried the obvious of changing the Battery in the fob. I have tried looking for my handbook - another item gone to the place were odd socks go.

So - does anyone know the sequence for re-syncing the fob with the car?

Any help would be much appreciated!! :crybaby:

I haven't had to do it for a while, but try this if i remember rightly.

Open the fob and remove the Battery. Make sure there is no power left in the curcuit by pressing the buttons a couple of times. put the Battery back in and press the open & close buttons one after the other until the fob re syncronises itsself.

I had a problem with my paseo alarm last year. the key fob would go for weeks with out working and then decided to work again, took it to toyota to be reset about 4 times, the main problem was when the key fob didnt work after i had locked it, because i couldnt get into the car with out setting of the alarm. When i took it back to toyota the checked the whole system, turned out the main box that runs the alarm system (behind the glove box) had fried its self... was going to be around 200-300 quid to fix, so insted i put that money towards a clifford pager alarm system, much more advanced and never had a problem since...

i phoned a few places to see if they would fit a clifford to mine and by pass the toyota alarm, but no one would touch it till the car was running! :censor:
