Right so ..

Engine warning light came on and had it checked out. Showed up as the oxygen sensor was faulty. replaced this and light stayed off for approx 400 miles.. Came back on again and had the dealer have a look.

They said all looks fine and to carry on driving..

Sure enough 350 miles and on it comes again.

Anyone else see this before???

any suggestions???

Thanks for that Mircea..

Genuine part was put in alright and also to note the Engine has also been replaced. Still the light comes on after the 350 miles or so..

So did the garage just reset the light last time? Or have you had two new oxygen sensors? If you are burning out oxygen sensors at that rate I would be surprised!

try and identify the driving condition when the light kicks in. ie are u easing of the accelerator or accelerating, idling or what?

Is the replacement engine the correct one?

What code is being emitted?

Engine replaced with the correct type alright ..

Think the code is PP107 ( front oxygen sensor ).

The light never comes on in the same driving conditions. First time doing about 60 and only the other day it came on while stopped at traffic lights.

Toyota garage took the car for the day and found a possible problem with the trottle. They have cleaned this up and the light is off again..

Fingers crossed it wont be seen again.
