Toyota UK is bringing out a kitted up version of its T-SPORT, It will be called the "GT". I am sure the body kit is the TRD one but see for yourselves. It will also have different wheels to the T-sport and i think they are still 17's

(The car in the pic is just an example of the body kit)

Hope you like and you should start seeing them in a Toyota Centre near you!!!!

You serious, or just yanking us? Sounds far fetched to myself.....

But I'm a sceptic by nature.

Nope this is happening for real, i work for toyota and its gonna happen this Marketing quarter too so the next couple of months! I know we have got one on order as a demonstrator!!!!

Standard T-sport engine and box only iam sure, still pretty nippy mind!!!! will keep you all informed with pics off the marketing campaign! when i can get it off the area manager!!!

oooh... how exciting... they've put a bodykit and a GT Badge on a standard Gen 7 Celica... <_<

Me thinks perhaps Toyota have been taking marketing lessons from Ford...

C'mon, give us 4 wheel drive and a turbo and then we'll get excited!!

When Toyota start bringing out special editions it usually means there's a new model waiting in the wings and they are trying to shift stocks of the old model. It's happened before and I'm sure it will happen again :D

well, they are killing off the Celica soon, along with the MR2...

Perhaps they have a backlog to clear back in Japan?

Too little, too late :ffs:

The JDM have had this body kit from day1 in 1999, SIX YEARS AGO!!!!!

The above bodykit was also meant to be making an appearence in the UK around 3-4 years ago (mentioned in Auto Express even before the facelift model appeared).

Yes it's a great kit. Much better than the drab side skirts that Toyota currently offer for UK Celicas (and the UK side skirts suffer a design fault too).

Like someone else said, they've obviously got a shedload to get rid of in Japan until the current Celica is no more. (incidently, Mazda did exactly the same with the 323 Sport - the bodykit available for the facelift version had been availble for years before in Japan).

probably a stupid question but is that kit available now for the 7th Gen??

i was gonna get a veilside replica but i think that one looks better! - the front bumper anyway! plus i'd say its cheaper???
