hi everyone :thumbsup: my celeca has developed a heavy clunk every time i break to stop not on slowing down if u no wat i mean i ave been told its the camber contrlo arm can any one second that also pulling away and driving slow te front suspension squeeks alot it sounds like my old mg metro i gutted ive had it checked and the bloke at the place said every think is ok he thinks it will not cause problems but its getting worse i recon can any one help cheers

its either the fig 8's or the control arm , ur meant to change them all at the same time but not a MUST , fig 8's can be bought for £60 a side the other arms have just gone up from £185 each to £220 each , my drivers side clunks too and at more than 10 mph it goes away so i just ignore it for now.

be warned that the will continue to wear. the clunk you hear is the ball joint in the fig 8 and lower arm trying to come out of thier socket! if you jack up the front of the car and try to pull the wheel forwards and backwards you should feel the movement. if the movement is slight then start saving if there is a lot of movement ( i mean movement that a bystander can see quite easily) then either leave the car until fixed or drive very carefuly as if this joint comes apart you will have no steering.

is it possible the ball joint on the strut itself can knock in the same manner , as in the same knock knock sound ????????
