Front Fogs

hi,

I have a gen 5 import, it is fitted with front fogs, but i cannot find the swith to turn them on. The switch for the rear fogs is present on the top right hand of the dashboard.

Yep it should be on the indicator/headlight arm. There`s no warning light for them though

On an import, that switch is for the front fogs. They have no rear fogs fitted on the JDM models.

The importer should have either fitted a fog light, or converted a pair of your brake lights to act as fog lights. It's an MOT requirement!

Take a look for another non-standard switch somewhere around the dash - that will be your rear fogs (if they've been fitted).

this is strange, the fog light switcht on the dash operaters rear fog lights, mine is definatley an import so perhaps the wiring has been diverted if you take my meaning. i cant find any other switches.

Did you buy it direct from the importer? If so, take it back and ask how they`ve wired up the fogs. It may be they`ve disabled the front fogs so they can use the switch on the dash for the rears.

i think this has now gone beyond my capabilities,lol. i didn't get my car from the an importer, but i think i'll get my mechanic to check it out on it's next service.
