Help, Please Help!

because i am a cheapskate!, i decided to replace the original radio/casette in my 94 carina e myself, with a sony cd player. i didnt bother buying an ISO kit and decided to join wires using crimps. i blew the radio fuse while installing so i bought another one. the cd player now works but when i turn the car off and turn it to ignition, the clock has reste itself and the cd player also resets itself. also, the alarm works when the keys are turned to ignition, but when the keys are not in the ignition, the alarm does not work. i think i burned the constant 12v wire but i dont know which one it is or how to fix this problem. can someone PLEASE help me.

get a haynes manual at £10 and check the wires out. Gotta go back to basics in this situation or else u'll cost yourself a whole load of dosh by guesswork.
