Avensis Alloy Wheel Corrosion

My Avensis T3-s is 2 years old in september, and as I didn't buy it new I have always put up with the bad paint finish of my alloys, especially between the spokes where it seems to be thin on laquer and rough to the touch :( .

Anyway I washed it a couple of days ago, paying close attention to the wheels, and noticed small star shapes between the spokes at the base <_< . As they were only small, I didn't think much of it. As the day went on I asked a few guysijn work with alloys about the finish on thiers and mentioned how rubbish mine were .THe opinion was to drive to the dealer and get them inspected, which I did that afternoon. To my surprise I was informed that Toyota had a serious issue with corrosion on their alloys (but not to say that they said that! :!Removed!: ) .The upshot was that they ordered a set of 4 alloy wheels and will swap the tyres over and balance them FREE OF CHARGE!!!

So if you are not happy with the finish on your wheels, GET THEM INSPECTED ASAP!
