Was up at crail on Sunday for the Banzai day and there was some guy with a Black imported Rev3 GT throwing it around the drift pit. Seemed to haveing a a hell of a time to get the back end put in an appearance without spinning. Are the Rev3's really hard to get a good drift out of? (havent had the chance to find out myself yet as my clutch is on the road out :ffs: )

well, I imagine the MR2 itself is not best balanced for Drifting.

While having mid-engined cars is ideal for circuit racing, due to the sharp turn-in and 75% weight bias between the wheels... Drifting is an entirley different beast...

Firstly, although 50/50 setup is preffered, you tend to find 'front heavy' cars do very well - the reason is you want to be able to break rear wheel traction without too much power - because as you noticed, if you need a lot of welly to break the rear grip, it is much harder to catch the slide, and more than likely you either spin, or grip comes back quickly.
