Hi flow or sports cat?

jus the a bypass piep mate, had a look under neath car today, theres the cat and 2 sensors.

=== Sensor == { CAT }=== Sensor ===

Was going to get just -

=== Oring senso == {Bypass pipe with bolts to bolt on/off} == origin sensor ==

bu was going to cost me £135 to make flanges and stuff and guy said it he doesnt think its worth money and my girldfriend was giving ***** about it!. so i decied not too. Think they gave me a really high price coz the guy used to be at my school wortks there, and basically i had a fight with him ages ago

im just wodnerin what other option are availble to me, and what torque increase 0-60 wise they'll give me.

After after 0-60 torque as oppsoed to sound.

I was alos thinking on a cat back system - will this make any performance difference coupled with my apexi air filter relocated?has anyone done this on a t sport? and was it worth it, approx price buying a fitting?

I also seen these items on eBay.

I take it there just a backbox, how mucha re they worth, i dont think they'll give any peformance

You're looking in the wrong direction if 0-60 and torque are what you are looking for.

No exhaust system, even a full exhaust system, headers, hi flow cat and full pipes and muffler is going to give you a significant increase in torque (or horsepower for that matter)

You're working with a tiny engine and the gains will be tiny. The best exhaust set up in the world MIGHT give you an extra 8-10 hp at the top end of the tach. Headers and less backpressure can often COST you a bit of low end torque, honestly.

If you really want a difference you're going to be able to measure (not just in your imagination or seat of your pants) then there is only one way to go with an engine like this and that's forced induction. Turbo or supercharger.

You can get a cold air intake and spend 5-700 pounds on a fancy exhaust if you want, but I can promise you, you'll get only modest gains.

Sorry, but it's the truth. :(

My advice is save your money, or get a turbo or supercharger.

One of the reasons I'm selling the Yaris. It's a great car. But if your into modifing it's not so great. As he said, nothing is going to give you noticable power except forced induction. You could probably go to a specialist and get some serious NA tuning done, but it'll cost more than the turbo.

Best idea is just to be content with what you have. Slap on a bit of exterior decoration (bodykit, wheels, etc...) and get it looking how YOU want it to look. Then get a backbox to get it sounding how YOU want it to sound. That's all you can really do!

Indeed. Like your garage says s0cks

I mean common! Group 7 insurance, 0-60 in a shave under 9secs, and small enough to fit in your pocket
