Sat Nav Problem

Hi Guys,

Hope somebody can help. I was having a trawl through the pages of this site yesterday and came across a page that mentioned problems with the Sat nav when fitted in conjunction with the 6 disc boot changer.

Mine seems to work until it tries to say something and then it just returns to the 'Toyota Navigation' screen, and then the main menu. It remembers the destination buts it just beeps once and then restarts on me.

Is this actual problem? I can't actually find page I was looking at now.

It's a 2001 Avensis CDX with the satnat and changer fitted in the boot.

Also, does anyone know where I can download a manual for the satnav as my car didn't come with one.

Cheers!

Mike

OK, I'm replying to my own post as I've have got it working now and there may be others out there with the same problem.

Basically if I set the volume to over half it doesn't work. Just over half it works fine.

Strange.

Mike.

Mr T knows about this problem. They piggy backed the wiring loom for the multi CD changer on CDX models into the existing sat nav loom and when you have the voice volume set onto max it trips and resets the sat nav unit.

They recalled affected cars but yours must have missed.

They will fit a new loom FOC.

You can order a new manual for the sat nav from Mr T - the part number is PZ420-ON23U-EU.

oh and this is the thread you couldn't find
