I found some nice 15' alloys from a '91 VW passat at the recycler. I tried them on a tercel that was wrecked there and the holes line up but the centre bore is larger by approx 3mm. Would I have run out problems with these? Would the lug nuts centre the wheel correctly w.r.t the hub. Any body tried something similar?

you can get Centres to account for the larger centre bore.

After that it's a case of getting the offset right with shims. Do these and you should be fine.
