Flushing

Ive just been wondering how flushing/smoothening works? I have seen cars with flushed rear ends and door panels (side strip removed and filled). I was just wondering how this is done? Does look quite effective!

If any of you boy racers out there can share your knowledge would be appreciated!

Cheers

It's also called "shaving" here.

As in "shaved doors with remote opening" etc...

Typically, it's done with bondo or some other similar filler, then the panel/door is sanded and resprayed, or if you're a boy racer/chav/riceboy you just repaint with dull gray primer and leave it like that.

Who remembers 'frenching' rear lights (little round ones usually off a Morris Minnor or Opel Manta A series reccessed in the bodywork)?
