Fitting K&n Panel Problem With 1.3

I know i shouldnt but i've attempted to fit a k&n panel to a 1.3 yaris SR in the dark, i've managed to squeeze the panel in, but the airbox doesnt seem to fit flush. I can get the clips on to secure the box, but its not a flush fit like the stock air filters :( Anyone shed any light on this?

I'm pretty sure someone has been on here before with this prob and all they did was trim the edge of the plastic slightly and it fit!!

so just trim the plastic of the filter slightly?

I'd wait till its light and have a good look mate and shift it about etc etc!

Yep its the same on mine, its a really tight fit but you can get the clips on.

Just saw this thread, not sure if you've resolved the problem yet. But, I've got a TS and when fitting my K&N panel filter, it was a right pig to get the cover back on again. The reason is because (as you know) K&N's filter has a rubber seal. Unfortunately, the seal is a very snug fit to say the least, but it is neccessary in order to form a tight seal. It will snap fit eventually, just needs a bit of coaxing.

it also my be upside down, there are two little slots in the filter that match airbox, you might not have seen them in the dark.
