Since i got my 17" wheels...my seo looks like a monster truck. I am considering lowering it but have some doubts.

Well, even without lowering the car, when i do a full lock turn left or right, sometimes i can hear the front tyres hitting the fender. Won't it get wrost if i dropped, say 40mm? Any suggestions to overcome this?

Also, if i were ever to sell my car and wheels seperately, won't the stock 14" wheels look funny (or even dangerous) on my lowered seo?

The scrubbibg doesnt get any worse if you go lower, you could solve it by removing a bit of ur inner arch, or heating it up and bending it out ot the way.

And there wouldnt be any problem if u put the 14's back on the car, i have had my 14s back on mine (which is lowered 40mm) and it doesnt look silly or handle badly.
