Induction Kit For Cts

Just wondered if any other CTS owners have fitted an induction kit. If so what make have you gone for?

Was thinking about adding one, but wasn't sure if there's any real benefit and was concerned about the effect it may have on warranty.

I too was considering such a mod however was put off by reports that they make your vehicle sound noisier (great if you like that sort of thing.....break out your Burberry baseball cap..)

AND (most worryingly of all) they reduce engine performance. The theory behind this is that most engines (including the one fitted to the CTS) perform better when taking in cool/cold air, which of course with a standard set up they do.

However with an induction kit fitted the air taken in to the engine is drawn from the engine compartment which is normally warm/hot.

Not sure if this is correct but it was enough to stop me from fitting one.......any other opinions on this will no doubt come flooding in.....

Thanks for the reply MJG. I guess what you say makes sense. I wasn't sure about the noise either, I don't want people to think I'm a boy racer.

I've heard that simply changing the stock air filter with something like a K&N can help improve performance a little, not sure if this is true though.

the induction kit fen sport do looks quite good its 140 quid 4 it but i think it wld make a bit of performance im thinkin of getting one its worth a try
