:( Hi all,

This topic seems to have been visited a few times over the last year, but without any development. It seems to be a crap design which Toyota are ignoring.

Are we destined to have bruised skulls for ever ??? Ouch .... again !!!!! :censor:

Or has there been any development yet? Has anyone modified their original shelf or found a good replacement?

Cheers,

Dom.

Evening all.

May have c****d up my first attempt so here is go two!

My wife may have solved this problem.

After raising the shelf, pull it off the back pivots and raise it again.

Jam the shelf against the sides and it should stay up.

Not as designed I suppose but it may save some cracked heads.

Cheers,

Rog.

I agree that the design of the shelf is c**p! So I've set about making my own. It isn't finished yet, but the basic design is done.

For details of what I've done, visit my Rav4 page:-
