Roofmounted Dvd/tv

Hi all, I,m new to the group, had my Rav4 for about a year now, thinking about doing some mods the first i think will be the rear door mod and leds, then i want to fitt a roof mounted dvd/tv player has anyone got any advise/ instructions on how this can be done. Recently had tints done on the rear looks fantastic.

I have done both the rear door mod, and fitted roof mounted DVD. Take a look at my garage, and you should be able to see some pics. Great for the kids - keeps em quiet for ages. Got the kit from www.audio4less.co.uk they installed too - nice job!

Why oh why don;t toyota do tints as standard!!!!! I'll never undertand that!

Hi thanks for the reply, did you have a seperate player or was it an intergrated unit. I have seen some on eBay which have dvd & tv all in one for about £210 plus postage. Should be really easy to fit i guess straight over the interia light for the power job done.

Seperate player which is mounted (Well stuck) under the passanger seat. Yes, power was take from the interier light. In fact my screen replaced the interier light as it has two lights built onto the back of the unit.

The Headphones RF's are also built into the screen which is nice. The engineer had some swearing moments when running the audio leads across the head liner and down the pillar - I think he encountered some air bags along the way, so needed to ensure the the wires did not obstruct it.

Toyota do but sadly only in North America and Japan. When the new 2004 RAV4 was announced in Europe Toyota-Europe did mention Factory Tints were an option but it looks like this got dropped or Toyota GB skipped this option.

I wished Toyota Europe/GB did offer Factory fitted Tints as when it comes to insuring it's much easier for insurance companies to know it's factory fitted and will not change any extra as some insurers want extra cash if you fit third party tints.
