No Keys For Roof Rack

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

I've just bought an Avensis CDX estate 51 Reg, which has a toyota Roof Rack on it (as well as rails obvioulsy). the problem is the dealer doesn't have the keys. he's offered to get a locksmith to take the rack off, but I'd prefer to keep it, with some keys!

Does anyone know if you can get extra sets ( like with Thule)from Toyota sent out to me or should I just get rid of them?

Try ringing the previous owner, or you should have the key number on the lock barrel of the rack, if not ya knackered, and get them drilled off, and buy new locks, or get the dealer to foot the cost of replacments, seeing as you bought the car with them on :)

Going to pick up the car on Tuesday (after an MOT), do you mean thet I can get the lock number off the rack and get a new key from Toyota? If so, I'll leave them on.

yep and they should provide you with a key really

managed to get the key for the Roofrack! yeah.

No trynig to find someone who will cut a spare key for the car!
