been a while since i've been on here but i have a problem. the Speakers on my rear shelf of my paseo have been upgraded and when some bass kicks in the metal of the shelf vibrates. has anybody else had this problem and does anyone know how to get rid of it?

rubber on the mountings will damp out the vibration. although this ain't ideal cos the sound quality will deteriorate.

howabout not turning up the stereo so loud!

use some brown bread on the shelf, itll stiffen it up.

i had this problem to when i upgraded my Speakers, i coverd the shelf with dynmat that made it loads better. Its a bit of a rip off though about £20 a roll.

mine too... i managed to squeeze some 6x9" Speakers into the back of my paseo, but had some problems "locking" the back seat. If i lock the back seat, the Speakers would knock against the rear windshield.

sometimes when i have a bumpy ride, the speaker would rattle too coz they are hitting the rear windshield.

Any solutions?

that brown bread is a rip off, go to B+Q and get a roll of roof flashing tape, its the same stuff and works ok. about 10 pounds and did the boot on my clio and the sides and under the rear seats.

I had the same problem, but it was the tension bars that control the boot spring that were vibrating. I put some soundproofing on the parcel shelf and wrapped the bars in some foam. Seems to have worked so fsr.

sorted the problem. put some door draft exclusion under the Speakers. has sorted it nicely
